One of the characteristics for which you can choose this country as a destination for your treatment is the favourable climate that it has throughout the year for the rapid recovery of dermatological treatments.
With the manifestation of skin problems you should be aware that it may be a symptom of a different disease. First of all ask for an online consultation so that the doctor can help you in the diagnostic phase.
Benign skin tumors are growths that occur, for different reasons, in any of the layers of the dermis on any part of the body.
There are different types of benign skin tumours:
Tumours with sebaceous differentiation
Tumours with eccrine differentiation
Tumours of the dermis and subcutaneous tissues
Depending on the type, there are different treatments: surgical excision, cryotherapy, electrodesiccation and curettage, chemical or mechanical dermabrasion, shaving…
Of these, surgical excision is the treatment in which the lesion is removed by surgery.
The doctor will apply a local anaesthetic or conscious sedation, depending on the location of the tumour, make an incision and remove the tumour mass and surrounding area if he considers it necessary and then stitch it up.
Generally, it is not necessary to stay in hospital after these small operations, which usually do not take more than 15 or 20 minutes.
The result of the excision is the total removal of the lesion thus eliminating the discomfort it caused.
You will have to stay in Spain for one or two weeks, depending on when the doctor indicates that the stitches will be removed.
